Mr. Chris Schoettle

Executive Vice President - Site Acceleration, Akamai Technologies

Mr. Schoettle is responsible for Akamai's flagship HTTP-based services, providing premier site acceleration, download, and client-enabled delivery capabilities. Mr. Schoettle joined Akamai in 2001 and was previously responsible for Akamai's global technology platform. Mr. Schoettle also led the integration of the acquisitions of Nine Systems, Netli, Red Swoosh, and Speedera Networks, all of which were acquired since 2005.

Mr. Schoettle has over 20 years of experience across a wide range of technology businesses, including five years internationally in both the European and Asia/Pacific markets.  Mr. Schoettle graduated summa cum laude with B.S. and M.S. degrees in computer science and mathematics from Emory University in Atlanta, and he has completed post-graduate programs at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland and at the London Business School.
