Mr. Chris Schoettle
Executive Vice President - Products, Akamai Technologies
Chris Schoettle is Executive Vice President of Products at Akamai. Mr. Schoettle is responsible for Akamai's market-leading product lines for cloud optimization of Web and IP business applications; dynamic site acceleration and security for interactive web sites; targeted advertising decision solutions; advanced media management of online video; software downloads and content delivery. He leads product management, product marketing, business development, and product operations across these solutions.
Mr. Schoettle joined Akamai in 2001 and has also been responsible for Akamai's global technology platform, including software development, information security, network infrastructure, and service operations. He has led multiple acquisitions and integrations of technology companies for Akamai.
Mr. Schoettle has over 20 years of experience across a wide range of technology businesses, including five years internationally in both the European and Asia/Pacific markets.
Mr. Schoettle graduated summa cum laude with B.S. and M.S. degrees in mathematics and computer science from Emory University, and has completed post-graduate programs at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland and at the London Business School.
