Mr. Steven Elterich
CIO, Fidelity Investments
Mr. Elterich joined Fidelity in 1987 and managed the installation of a major recordkeeping system supporting millions of customers. From 1989 through 1997, Mr. Elterich was responsible for technology for Fidelity Institutional Retirement Services Company (FIRSCo), the 401(k) unit of Fidelity. From 1997 to 1999, Mr. Elterich was executive vice president of technology for FESCo. In this capacity, he was responsible for the core applications associated with FESCo's defined benefits, health and welfare, human resources and payroll systems. He also helped to develop Internet-based and voice response system technologies for FESCo. From September 1999 until he assumed his current role in 2004, Mr. Elterich was president of Fidelity eBusiness, overseeing all of Fidelity's electronic commerce and Internet-related initiatives.
Before joining Fidelity, Mr. Elterich worked for Andersen Consulting for 11 years. Mr. Elterich received a bachelor of science degree in general business and an MBA from the University of Rhode Island.
