2006 Mass Technology Leadership Awards Banquet

Award Winners Announced

The Mass Technology Leadership Council, Inc. announced the recipients of the Council’s annual Technology Leadership Awards honoring Massachusetts companies and individuals who best exemplify leadership and excellence in business and technology.  The Technology Leadership Awards are the only awards that recognize outstanding achievement in both the development and deployment of information technologies that address critical business issues.  Fourteen companies and individuals received awards at the Council’s annual awards banquet, held Wednesday evening, October 11 at the Copley Marriott.

Adobe Chief Executive Officer Bruce Chizen delivered the event’s keynote address.  Mr. Chizen discussed how the current myriad of communications devices, an explosion of content and the Internet pose the challenge of communication overload.  “There are 1.3 billion emails sent an hour, 5 billion IMs a day and still over 59% of these are seen as irrelevant by the receiver,” outlined Bruce Chizen to the over 250 attendees. “Any company that does not figure out communities and how and when to use them will be left behind.”
