More than just the next buzz word, the internet of things, is quite literally -  the future. Both B2B and B2C consumers have become more sophisticated and user experience is a key factor in purchasing decisions. Creating an IoT product is making a smart product and connecting it so that data can be collected and analyzed - enabling the developer and every stakeholder along the way to gain insights and glean real value.

MassTLC’s 2nd Annual IoT Conference will take a top-down approach to identifying a comprehensive IoT strategy and the many components that are critical to its success. We will look at the IoT cycle holistically and will explore how bringing together the sum of all parts will continue to shift the way business process and multi-stakeholder experiences converge.

At what point will companies and their customers benefit by bringing together the physical and digital worlds? How do those companies begin to understand what is needed for those worlds to collide?  Our panelists share their personal experiences having built a strategy that encompasses new processes, technologies, services, sales models, and stakeholders.

The data management infrastructure needed to support IoT implementations will be those big data infrastructure implementations we are currently inventing, designing, and building - but with even greater capacity. This infrastructure will power the evolving analytics infrastructure to be more intelligent and more automated. This session will provide insights into what steps organizations are doing now to ensure their infrastructure is in place as data generation continues to explode.

12:40 PM LUNCH

1:25 PM FIRESIDE CHAT -

Niko Pipaloff chats with Dr. Richard Soley about the issue of standards. At this point, there are relatively few widely-adopted standards for IOT. Throughout this chat, Niko and Dr. Soley will focus on case studies of full scale IoT initiatives that they hope to develop standards around.

In the end, it’s knowing what ‘things’ need to be connected in order to extract the right data to improve the user experience, improve the product, and make the overall process from development to end user more efficient. Products are being connected to the internet for the sole purpose of making them better. Ultimately it is about turning what was a single product into a service, that can continually enhance the end product and bring seamless efficiencies to stakeholders. Join our presenters as they guide you through their success stories of identifying and utilizing the right data.

At the very least, an IoT deployment must include a device, a network, a cloud source level, security procedures and protocols. The more devices and networks added to the deployment, the more complexities of securing a complex infrastructure as well as protecting its main asset - the data. The data is being generated and continuously moves through the IoT chain, creating the need for constant protection. Companies must understand what security protocols they need to implement at the onset of development and at each stage and throughout the lifecycle of the product. This session will outline how security is evolving and transforming because of IoT.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

  • CXOs exploring IoT product development
  • CXOs exploring enabling technologies used as part of an IoT product
  • Senior leaders in mobile infrastructure organizations
  • Senior leaders within cloud offerings
  • Data scientists, Data strategists
  • Cyber Security Experts who develop or working to develop processes and procedures across an IoT deployment
