This year’s MassChallenge class will include some of the accelerator’s youngest participants ever. OCC Youth Unleashed, a team composed of five Boston high school and college students, will use its time with MassChallenge to further its development of its app, which connects youth with activities at community centers and clubs near.
In addition to being some of the youngest ever participants in a MassChallenge program, the team has another distinction: they are one of the few all-minority teams. The accelerator has boosted its outreach to underrepresented communities in an effort to address the inclusion challenge that the entire tech industry is facing.
