This page was created to answer the questions of members who are the main MassTLC contact in their companies. If you are not the main contact and are looking for information about your MassTLC profile, please visit the Online Profile FAQs. If you are the main contact, read on! What is a Master Profile?

A Master Profile is given to the main contact of a member company that has more than one employee. The Master  Profile is where the contact can see dues amounts and pay them. The Master can also add sub accounts that we call Employee Profiles. The number of profiles allowed is based on your membership level. For example, if you are a Start-up Tech company you have a max of 3 profiles allowed.

#
What is an Employee Profile?

Employee Profiles are sub accounts of the Master Profile. For example if your company has 30 people who participate in MassTLC programs, you would have your Master Profile, owned by the main contact, and then 29 Employee Profiles.

#
Why is it important that our Employee's Profiles are linked to our Master Account?

This is how you ensure that your employees get their MassTLC benefits. When their account is under the Master Profile, they are eligible for all the benefits of your company's membership level. If they create a free non-member account on our site, they would have to pay non-member rates when registering for events and programs. They would also not have access to other benefits including posting jobs on our Job Board.

Another reason Employee Profiles are important is because under the Master Account you can see who is involved in MassTLC in your company. It's great way to see how engaged your team is.

#
What if an employee of my company already created a free non-member profile. Can I link that profile to my company's Master Account so that employee gets their benefits?

You can't, but we can. If you need us to do this for you, please click here and submit a request. Give us the name and email address of the employee you want to bring in under your Master Profile. We will email you when it's complete.

#
How do I know what Employee Profiles are currently under my Master Profile?

You can see them all by logging into your profile. Log in and click on "Manage Profile." Look for "Sub Accounts" on this page. Click here to see all the employees who are taking advantage of your companies benefits. If someone has left your company you can suspend their account here as well.

#
How do I add Employee Profiles to the Master Profile?

Login to your account and click on "Manage Profile" then "Sub Accounts" from here you can add profiles yourself (it will take you to the front end of the website to do this).

#
How can people from my team create their own profiles?

Login to your account, click on "Manage Profile" then "Sub Accounts." You will see a registration link that is custom for your company. Cut and paste the link and send it to your employees via email instructing them to click on the link to create their profile.

#
How do I know when I need to renew and how much my dues are? How do I pay them?

Login to your account, click on "Manage Profile" and then on "Membership" and you will see your membership type, how much you paid last and when you are due for your next payment.

You can pay your dues as much as 90 days before your due date, if you like. When you are 90 days or less out from your due date, you will see payment options in this section and can pay with credit card. If you need an invoice, please click here to contact us.

#
Can another account that is not a Master pay dues for the company?

No, dues can only be paid by the Master Profile holder.

#
Can a Master Profile be transferred to another contact?

Yes, it can be. You can do this yourself simple by updating the contact information for the Master Profile holder. The username will stay the same. If your new contact already has his or her own account, that's fine. He or she can use that to register for events he or she attends, but manage the corporate membership through the Master Profile.

#
What is my login for the Master Profile?

If you created your profile and paid for your membership online, you created your own login. If we created your account, we created your login. In that case you should have received an email from Ruth Morris with your login information. When we create Master Profiles, we use some form of the company name, but as there are restrictions, we often have to alter it a bit.

Unfortunately, this system does not offer a user name reminder, just a password reminder. If you can't remember your user name, please contact us here and we will look it up.

#
If I'm the main contact for a Master, can I have my own personal account?

You don't need to, but you can if you like. If you chose to use the Master Profile as your own, when you register for events, you will want to make sure that your name is on the registration form not just the company name, so that your nametag reads correctly.

#
Can others see my company profile?

Right now, no. There is the option of allowing members to select to be public and show up in a directory search. We are going to do some research of our member base and see if they are interested in this function. Right now, all accounts are private and can't be made public

More questions? We want to hear. Please submit your question here.
