At Transform 2016 Dave Mahon, Chief Security Officer (CSO) of CenturyLink led a session on “Securing a Global Enterprise.” In his presentation Mahon stressed that security in a global company has evolved into threat focused strategic operations that protect business from insider and outsider threats. In Mahon’s view, the security team manages the risk posture of the company so that it can achieve its corporate objectives.
The presentation covers a range of topics including recognizing the goals of a bad actor and creating a specific response, obtaining actionable threat intelligence, creating an approval process for outsourcing/offshoring, securing the supply chain, and much more.
