Cengage to Relocate Global Headquarters to Seaport in the Fall

MassTLC member Cengage, the largest U.S.-based provider of teaching and learning materials for higher education, will relocate its global headquarters from Fort Point to the Seaport Innovation District in the fall of 2018. The firm has signed a ten year lease to occupy five floors at the nearly completed Pier 4 office building, making it the latest of many firms moving their corporate offices into the new towers.

The new space, designed to reflect a collaborative and innovative culture, will support Cengage’s existing 500 local employees and its continued growth; the firm is aggressively recruiting to fill 100+ open position across a range of functions before the end of the year.

Cengage relocated to Boston’s Fort Point district from Stamford, CT, in 2014. Since then, it has grown significantly. Chief Technology Officer George Moore noted to the Boston Business Journal that access to “the best and brightest tech talent” has been a primary driver of that success.
