This resource guide provides information on public, quasi-public, and private funders that support workforce development programs.

	The Mass On the Job Training (OJT) program enables Mass companies to be reimbursed for a new employee’s wages while they are in training. Any company or business which has an opening for a skilled worker and for which qualified individuals are not readily available is elligible for funding. The company or business must not have relocated within the past 120 days, or if it has relocated within this period, the relocation must not have caused a loss of employment at the previous location.
	MassMEP creates economic impact by transforming manufacturing enterprises and the manufacturing ecosystem. This is achieved through providing operational excellence, workforce development strategies and innovative growth initiatives, enhanced through leveraging strategic public/private relationships. The Workforce Training Fund helps address business productivity and competitiveness by providing resources to Massachusetts businesses to train current and newly hired employees.
	The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center Internship Program prepares the next generation of clean energy workers by funding internships for students and recent graduates at Massachusetts clean energy and water innovation companies.
	The Massachusetts Life Sciences Center Internship Challenge creates more than five hundred new internship opportunities each year for college students and recent graduates interested in pursuing careers in the life sciences. The program connects employers with students through an online platform and provides funding to enable small companies to hire paid interns. Offered year-round, this workforce development program enhances the talent pipeline for Massachusetts companies engaged in life sciences.
	The MassTech Intern Partnership (MTIP) program provides stipends to digital technology companies that are starting and scaling-up across Massachusetts that directly support internships for Massachusetts college students.
	NSF INCLUDES (Inclusion across the Nation of Communities of Learners of Underrepresented Discoverers in Engineering and Science) is a comprehensive national initiative designed to enhance U.S. leadership in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) discoveries and innovations by focusing on broadening participation in these fields at scale. The vision of NSF INCLUDES is to catalyze the STEM enterprise to collaboratively work for inclusive change, which will result in a STEM workforce that reflects the population of the Nation.
	The One8 Foundation identifies highly promising non-profit grantees to support with meaningful funding and deep strategic engagement. The mission of the foundation is to accelerate and bolster the success of nonprofit organizations with the highest potential to achieve breakthrough results on some of the most pressing problems facing the United States and the Jewish people.
	The Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) is a Federal tax credit incentive that employers may receive for hiring individuals from certain target groups who have consistently faced significant barriers to employment. Employers make the hiring decision, and there is no limit to the number of new hires who can qualify the employer for the tax savings.
	Funded by over 60 partners since 2007, The Workforce Competitiveness Trust Fund invests in demand-driven programs designed by industry sector partnerships that train and place unemployed and underemployed workers. The WCTF serves men and women across the Commonwealth who are ready to engage in programming but require targeted support to succeed in employment.
	The Workforce Training Fund Program (WTFP) – General Program helps address business productivity and competitiveness by providing resources to Massachusetts businesses to fund training for current and newly hired employees. In order to qualify, businesses must pay into the Fund. All for-profit companies automatically pay into the fund. For the General Program, companies of any size that pay into the fund are eligible.
	The Workforce Training Fund Program (WTFP) – Express Program helps address business productivity and competitiveness by providing resources to Massachusetts businesses to fund training for current and newly hired employees. In order to qualify, businesses must pay into the Fund. All for-profit companies automatically pay into the fund. For the Express Program, companies that pay into the fund with fewer than 100 employees are eligible.
	The Workforce Training Fund Program (WTFP) – Small Business Direct Access Program provides free, small scale training services to Massachusetts’ companies. Businesses with 100 or fewer Massachusetts employees that contribute to teh Workforce Training Fund are eligible to access training through the Small Business Direct Access Program. All for-profit companies automatically pay into the fund.
