Anthony WilliamsVice President HR, Diversity & Talent Acquisition, Akamai Technologies Anthony Williams is Vice President of Talent Acquisition and Diversity at Akamai in Boston. Anthony appreciates the innovation that diversity can infuse into a company and wanted to increase the percentage of diverse workers at Akamai. While the ranks of engineering and technology graduates from diverse backgrounds is certainly increasing, the field is still made up of a considerable number of Caucasian males. His solution was to create Akamai’s own training program, Akamai Technical Academy, for diverse individuals who are interested in a technical career but who may not have a STEM background or formal, technical education.
