CTO & EVP Global Technology & Operations, Iron Mountain
In her role as Iron Mountain’s CTO, Fidelma Russo provides the leadership, vision and roadmap for how technology can further strengthen the company’s current and future product offerings, service delivery and overall business.
Fidelma leads the Global Technology Organization, a customer-centric global team that includes product engineering, product management, innovation, advanced development and internal technology infrastructure. Leveraging her extensive high tech background, Fidelma drives a shortlist of priorities for Iron Mountain led by digital transformation; cloud enablement; globalization and an unrelenting focus on quality. She is deeply committed to raising the profile of women in technology and is a frequent speaker on the topic at industry and educational events and forums.
Fidelma came to Iron Mountain from Dell EMC, where she led the company’s Enterprise Storage and Software Solutions team, driving business growth through focused product sales, investments in disruptive technologies and markets, and workforce globalization and service delivery automation. Prior to her tenure at EMC, she was Chief Operating Officer for Sepaton/HDS, where she drove significant growth for the company’s intelligent data protection products and raised more than $25 million in venture funding. She has also held senior business and technology leadership roles at HP, Sun Microsystems/Oracle, Data General Corporation and Digital Equipment Corporation.
Fidelma earned an engineering degree from University College Cork (Ireland) and a masters in Computer Science from Boston University. She holds two US patents and serves on the board of Wolters Kluwer BV.
