MIT Professional Education Expands Online Offerings, Develops New Digital Course in Management of Technology

MIT Professional Education is announcing several updates to its blended online course portfolio, including a new course on technology management and courses in French and Italian. The new offerings are designed to promote greater access to lifelong learning and help organizations and their workforces master the latest strategies and tools that are driving the digital revolution.

Accelerating Investment in Professional Education

“The current business environment is pushing organizations to accelerate their investment in professional education for employees to acquire and adapt skills to accommodate post-pandemic realities – or possibly risk survival of their organizations. We continue to evolve our offerings to ensure professionals around the globe are equipped with the needed skills to succeed in the new era of work,” said Bhaskar Pant, Executive Director of MIT Professional Education.

A new Digital Plus Programs course, Management of Technology: Roadmapping & Development,” begins February 23, 2021. Over nine weeks, instructor Olivier de Weck, Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Engineering Systems at MIT, will delve into the cutting-edge principles, methods, and management tools needed to create optimized, connected technology systems across modern organizations.

“Technology is drastically reshaping the business world. Organizations must innovate and develop at the speed of light to remain ahead – regardless of what industry they belong to, or which countries they operate in. This course will help leaders to adapt, and understand which technology is key to enabling their organizations to compete,” said Professor de Weck.
