NextShift Celebrates Move to Lowell

MassTLC member NextShift Robotics recently celebrated their relocation to Lowell with a robot-assisted ribbon cutting ceremony on February 28 at the new headquarters. Lowell Mayor William Samaras and State Senator Eileen Donoghue (First Middlesex District) were on-site to join in the festivities. A NextShift robot transported a scissor to the group for the ribbon cutting.

NextShift Robotics solves complex e-Commerce order fulfillment challenges with smart algorithms, collaborative performance and rugged designs. The new site in Lowell will house their corporate office, as well as, their robotics test center, where engineers will manufacture and test their material handling systems.

“A successful seed funding round combined with this move represents a new chapter for us as we continue to grow and develop autonomous warehouse robots. We are excited about our patented technology that can transform fulfilment for the rapidly growing e-Commerce industry,” said Mayr Ellen Sparrow, CEO and Co-Founder.

During the ribbon cutting, Senator Donoghue stated that she was “thrilled to have NextShift in Lowell,” and the Mayor emphasized his desire to make Lowell a part of the future. He welcomed and congratulated NextShift and said, “Thank you for providing another innovative company to Lowell.”

At the ribbon cutting, we were even treated to a demonstration of the bots in action.
