The Museum of Science will host its annual Computer Science Education Weekend on December 8th and 9th, and they are on the hunt for volunteers, activities, and demos to help teach the novel and diverse applications of computer science.

MassTLC is a proud supporter of this event, and we can confirm that the community impact is great. In past years, CS EdWeek has served over 4,000 museum visitors, and this year a similar turnout of families and children is expected.

How can you help? MoS is looking for local companies and community groups to help run this exciting event, which will run between 10 am – 4 pm on 12/8 and 12/9. Volunteers are asked to sign up for 3-hour time slots.

“Drop-in activities will be presented much like a maker faire, as families go from booth to booth, participating in short hands-on activities or interacting with prototypes they can touch or observe.  Volunteers can either bring demos from their own work or help run our existing Computer Science activities.”

As a thank you for your support, all volunteers will receive free parking at the MoS, food, and a CS Ed Weekend t-shirt.

Can you spare some time to help? If yes, sign up here to volunteer or sign up here to present an activity or demo.
